1980    KID Imprägniertechnik GmbH founded by Peter Hüls       
1980    Impregnation Centre and headquarter opened in Grafing near Munich
1981    Impregnation Centre opened in Holzgerlingen (near Stuttgart)
1982    Headquarter move from Grafing to Unterföhring
1983    Name changes to KID Imprägnier – und Polymertechnik GmbH & Co. KG
1993    Quality Management System to ISO 9004-2 installed
1994    Company/headquarter move from Unterföhring to Parsdorf near Munich
1997    Impregnation Centre opened in Chemnitz
1998    Impregnation Centre opened in Salzgitter
1999    Acquired by  Henkel KGaA Düsseldorf
1999    Name changes to Loctite-KID GmbH & Co. KG as a result of the acquisition
2001    Impregnation Centre opened in Berlin        
2003    Impregnation Centre opened in Garching (near Munich)
2003    Certification to ISO TS 16949-1999
2003    Regrouped into "Technologies Ressort" following Henkel corporate restructuring effort
2004    Operations in a total of 10 Service Centres spread all over Germany
2004    Certification to DIN ISO TS 16949:2002
2006    Name changes to Henkel Loctite-KID GmbH following intercompany reorganisation
2006    New Henkel Impregnation Centre opened in Bielsko-Biala/Southern Poland
2007    Corporate centre move from Munich to Garching
